 TOMAHAWK STANDARD ECONOMY TRAPSTomahawk's Standard Economy Traps were just introduced in response to requests for lower cost traps. A Tomahawk Standard Economy Trap is an excellent choice for less frequent use and tighter budgets. They feature the same sturdy frame that Tomahawk's Deluxe Traps feature, a heavy duty 12, 14, or 16 gauge galvanized steel wire mesh frame for maximum resistance to rust and corrosion. They also feature a spring loaded automatic locking V-Door, that securely and safely traps the animal inside immediately after stepping onto the trip pan located at the back of the trap. The super fast spring-loaded trap door eliminates the chances of an animal backing out of the trap before the door springs shut and locks into place. The special locking system and reinforcement of the door prohibits an animal from forcing the door open, even if the animal turns the Economy Trap upside down. This makes the Economy Trap perform well when trapping animals at any angle. A protective piece of galvanized sheet metal is added underneath the safety handle to protect the trapper from the animal. 1/2 by 1/2 inch wire mesh bait guards are welded to the bait area of the larger Economy Traps to prevent the animals from reaching through the outside of the trap. Tomahawk's Economy Traps are available in 5 sizes, ranging from 16 x 5 x 5/ Chipmunk Size to 32 x 10 x 12 Raccoon/ Feral Cat size. The two largest sizes are available with a rear sliding door. This nice feature provides an easy alternative to resetting the trap to release the animal. It also eliminates the need to reach all the way through the trap for proper bait placement. All that is required of the handler to release the animal, or to bait the trap, is to pull up on the handle of the rear sliding door. It's that simple and economical. |
